Assembly Mechanic

Supervisor: Production Foreman Job Description: The Assembly Mechanic will be required to use their skill and ability in the Kovatera plant to assemble mining vehicles by following work instructions and utilizing their own mechanical abilities. They must also be able to maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed work instructions in order to meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: - Assembly of Mining equipment - Read and follow both electrical and hydraulic schematics - Inspect, operate and test all completed machines in order to ensure accurate function, capabilities and adherence to customer standards. - Troubleshoot and repair during start-up and testing if required. - Document and communicate with supervisor and/or engineering to record modifications and/or updates to units. - Follow Work Instructions for the builds to ensure standardized work is followed. Requirements: - Licensed or pursuing license in Automotive, Heavy Duty Equipment, Truck and Coach or Mechanical Millwright would be an asset. - Good motor skills and eye hand coordination - Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics - Attention to detail - Ability to work quickly, independently - Experience with mining industry equipment is an asset - Good attitude as well as the ability to work alone and within a team
